Hofgeluk

Mijn dagen zijn altijd heel erg goed gevuld met twee kindjes, een man, huis, vrijwilligerswerk en natuurlijk mijn eigen website. Soms te goed gevuld. En dan zijn er momenten dat het lijkt of alles samen komt. Ken je dat? Kindjes die slecht slapen (en mama dus ook), man die ’s nachts gewerkt heeft en oververmoeid thuis komt, veel telefoontjes met vragen, mailtjes,… En dan (om niet te beginnen gillen)... even stoppen, ogen toe, adem nemen (vaak op het toilet, want dat is de enige plaats waar ik, niet altijd, ongestoord even vijf minuten kan zitten). Lukt niet altijd,… En jij? Wat doe jij? My days are filled with taking care for my two children, husband, our house, volunteering and my own website of course. Sometimes too much. Do you know that? Kids had a bad night (and mum also…), man arriving home in the morning after a terrible nightshift, phone calls, mails,… And then… stop, breathe… not starting screaming… (I must admit, on the toilet, the only place I can sit, mostly, not alwa...

Zomaar een klein cadeautje Deze ochtend fietste ik met mijn zoontje naar school, een tocht van een paar kilometers langs de velden. Al maanden is het nog donker, mistig, regen, wind, eigenlijk werd ik er een beetje triestig van. Maar kijk deze ochtend… wat een cadeautje! De zon kwam op met nog de mist over de velden. Zo mooi. Ik ben even gestopt om van het zicht en de stilte te genieten. Wat een mooi begin van de dag. Just a little present This morning I road with my bike and my son to school, a trip of a couple of kilometers along fields. For months it was dark, fogy, rainy, windy, it made me a bit sad. But this morning… a little present from nature! A beautiful sunrise above the fogy fields. I stopped for a moment enjoying the moment, the silence, the sun. A nice start of the day…

I don’t know what’s your feeling about it, but when I put the Christmas decoration away, I always find my home empty. A bit sad. So I looked for new decorations to make. I started with a crocheted garland with little hearts. It hangs around our lamp in the dining room. Beautiful, not? What did you do to decorate your home? I am a book lover. As long as I can remember, I read. According to my mum I could read at the age of four, cause my older brothers learned me. (I have 5 brothers, no sisters...) Don't know if that is true. Anyways, I got the story of Alice in Wonderland for my 6th birthday of my Godmother and that is still today one of my favourites. (Still got this book with beautiful illustrations) What's yours? I also have a couple of books on my bedside table. Of course I need bookmarkers.
